I’m Andrew Chapman. I’m based in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, UK. I help people publish non-fiction books. I’m also the editor of three magazines, all relating to different aspects of British history:
- (from December 2024) the archaeology/folklore/psychogeography journal Northern Earth – plus its associated newsletter
- Discover Your Ancestors magazine (since 2011) – social and family history
- the British Association for Local History’s Local History News journal (since 2023)
I walk a lot, sometimes veering towards a form of artistic practice. And I’m interested in all kinds of stuff, some of which I’ve written about, particularly history and landscape. I also co-write Histories, a weekly newsletter exploring hidden corners of the past, and publish history books at Heritage Hunter. There’s a page here on what I’m up to now.
If you need help with a book project, visit my business website to hire me. I have particular expertise/experience as a history editor.
