Boris (sponsor of the #JohnsonVariant, like letting a vampire into your house) doesn’t enjoy being PM because it entails responsibility/admin. But he’s also an egomaniac too proud to resign. So I wonder what he considers his minimum term to be content with. Roll on that day.

@richardf Oo I’d wondered about those. The ScanSnap is quite old but very good. Btw, Textsniper is a very handy OCR screenshot app
@richardf It’s a ScanSnap document scanner so does involve, er, book murder 😢 OCR is just Acrobat Pro. The checking and fixing is proving by far the biggest time sink
Set myself a #publishing challenge: see how quickly it’s possible to re-publish an out-of-print book from the 1920s in a ‘minimum viable product’ way. Estimated time is 3 hours.

@ScientistSoph My grandfather claimed descent from the ‘old kings of Ireland’. His mother’s maiden name was Odell (not O’Dell) – a long English line of brick manufacturers. And not a whiff of Irish roots anywhere (despite a clear touch of the blarney!)
