1. So my new thing here is the #10tweetadventure – exploring corners of history or landscape, but told in no more than 10 tweets. Today, for @FingerpostFri #FingerpostFriday, let’s start with the source of the River Thames. Except… it isn’t.
This river junction is one of several places where history has made a mistake. Watch this space!
@PaulWhitewick Me again… turns out that Seven Springs is *also* not the source – it’s at the Star College in Ullenwood. I’ve also found another that’s almost as far, in a totally different place – certainly further than Thames Head! Good old Leland…
