I don’t normally post this sort of thing, but this article on ‘Growth without goals’ offers some very simple and sensible life advice investorfieldguide.com/growth-without…. ‘Explore for the sake of exploration, without expectation.’ (via @nateliason)

RT @DerekCollett19: Now then, where was I? Oh yes, I remember. Second edition of my biography of Nigel Balchin was published this week and…

@purserhallard I was wondering the same thing this morning.

@terriemcc @Laniball Have to say I hated 100 YOM – don’t get why it did so well!

@BritUnofficial Good point! Though it seems very protected – bower of tree branches, chicken wire, gate. Located in an ancient wood but v near junk yardy bit next to former public tip. Only a few feet away is this old Land Rover (pictured today – back in April it had this dummy’s arm in it…)

@BritUnofficial Yes – at some point I must try to find out more. (I wonder if it ties into local rumours – like so many other places – of a big cat!)

I’d like to give a big plug to @BritUnofficial for his utterly brilliant book, Unofficial Britain (uk.bookshop.org/books/unoffici…). I give this picture of a mysterious pantherine shrine/grave in woods near where I live as a votive offering.

@HamishMThompson ZOMG, 5G is shrinking stuff now!

@terriemcc It’s fascinating how people differ! Yesterday I had three long work phone or Skype convos which is more than I usually have in a whole month – exhausting. Regardless of pandemics my work life is blissful shed-based near-solitude!
