The affiliate market is dead. I’ve devoted 3 years of my time and made $14000 in total. This year is even worse. People don’t click on the affiliate links, they see the name of the product / brand and then they go back and search for it in google.

Hi Liam - thanks for your comment. There certainly are people making that sort of money, but like anything else I think it takes a lot of time and energy to get it going before the much-heralded dream of 'passive income' becomes possible. Anyway, if you do want to pursue it, there's loads of good advice at the Warrior Forum (as long as you avpid the flim-flam merchants).

I’ve been looking into affiliate marketing recently as a means of making pocket money, thinking that about half an hour a day (after initial startup) could bring maybe £200 a month. I have been hovering over the idea if calculating just how much traffic I would need to acheive this, but you’ve done it for me and confirmed that I should concentrate on the day job!
